• The largest freestanding formation of rock is located in this state. The formation is not only unique, but seemingly gravity defying; with a base of only ten inches in circumference, but a top nearly ten feet across.
• The only Revolutionary War skirmish to occur in the state of Arkansas occurred in 1782 at the Arkansas Post. The skirmish is known as the Colbert Incident.
